This is Captain.
Captain is 28 inches at the shoulders and apricot in color. Here he is in his winter coat. He is a very stunning dog! He has it all - temperament, beauty, and health.
He is THE kindest, calmest, smartest, sweetest Standard Poodle I have ever met. He easily passed his Canine Good Citizen obedience test. I can take him through a crowd, to a parade... anywhere! He was born with manners; I hardly had to do any training. He caught on right away and hardly ever needed any reinforcement. He is protective at the door but welcomes anyone I welcome. His temperament is a dream-come-true!
Captain is a very handsome dog with many wonderful attributes. He has a wonderful straight top-line with a perfect tail set. His legs are straight with nice tight paws. His chest is deep and wide with a nice wide ribcage. Along with his beautiful coloring, his coat is extremely thick with lots of curl. One other attribute of Captain's that I greatly admire is his nice bone and substance. More recently, Standard Poodles in the show ring are being bred to be excessively refined. Many breeders believe that this refinement is getting so carried away that it is becoming a hindrance to the Poodle being a working dog as well as a beautiful, companion dog. Breeding Captain to a more refined poodle helps bring back that solid structure.
Finally, Captain has been blessed with strong health. He has passed every clearance I have put him through, which is more than the average Standard Poodle breeder. You may see these OFA clearances by clicking on his "Chic" number below.
